Features

Everything a Kenyan shop runs on.

From the first scan at the counter to the profit at month end, on one system that keeps selling when the internet drops.

The till

Fast at the counter, on a laptop, tablet or phone.

  • Search by name, SKU or barcode, or scan with a scanner or the phone's camera.
  • Hold a cart while the customer fetches one more thing, and resume it later.
  • Take cash, M-Pesa, card through Pesapal, or cash and M-Pesa together.
  • Receipts on 80 or 58 mm rolls, or texted as a link, in English or Kiswahili.

M-Pesa

Every shilling checked with Safaricom.

  • Send a prompt to the customer's phone: they enter their PIN and the sale is paid.
  • Payments to your till show at the counter as they arrive; the cashier picks the customer's instead of typing a code.
  • A Paybill payment carrying the order number pays that order by itself.
  • A code typed by hand stays unverified until Safaricom confirms it, and a manager hears if it never does.

Offline

The internet drops. The till doesn't.

  • The till keeps its own copy of your catalogue and keeps selling without a connection.
  • Receipts print with a number of their own, so the customer leaves with proof.
  • Each sale is sent exactly once when the line is back, with anything odd flagged for review.

Stock

Know what you have, what it cost and when it expires.

  • Stock in batches per location, each with its buying price and expiry date; the first to expire sells first.
  • Counts that a second person checks, losses with a reason, and every movement on record.
  • Imports followed from the supplier to the shelf, with landed cost worked into each item.
  • Shelf labels and barcodes printed in the shop.

Customers

Bring them back, without spamming them.

  • Points, tiers and perks, and rewards for customers who bring their friends.
  • Quotes and pre-orders with deposits, for goods you order in.
  • SMS campaigns sent only to customers who agreed, within your hours and a monthly cap.
A customer's loyalty: points balance, tier, spend and perk codes.

Reports

See the day, the month and what to do next.

  • The owner's dashboard: sales against last month, profit, stock value and what needs attention.
  • Sales by product, category, brand and customer, with Excel and PDF.
  • What to reorder, what is not selling and where cash is stuck on the shelf.

Controls

Close the gaps money leaks through.

  • Shifts per register with a float, a blind cash-up and the variance on the Z report.
  • A manager's PIN for voids, refunds, large discounts and prices below cost.
  • An audit log of who changed what and when, which no one can edit.
  • Permissions per role, and staff who see only their own branches.
An open shift: sales, voids and the cash expected in the drawer.
